Ultrix Acuity takes routing, audio mixing, MultiViewers, frame sync trays, and audio embedders/descalers, solutions that have traditionally filled multiple racks of equipment, and compresses them into a single 5RU chassis. It's ideal for environments where size really matters, such as OB vans and mobile units.
As with today's Ultrix solution, Ultrix Acuity is based on the software-defined production philosophy, ensuring that protection for the future is never a concern. Ross' software-defined production engine (SDPE) eliminates the need for costly upgrades by providing base hardware that can grow through convenient and relatively inexpensive software licenses. Therefore, Ultrix Acuity's SDPE backbone will reduce uncertainty around meeting future creative or technical requirements.
The solution allows you to transition from HD to UHD with a simple software license, mix SDI and IP sources in the same framework transparently, and can also become a node in a larger distributed routing environment, reducing the incremental cost of adding I/O and more production switches.
