Open Broadcast Systems
High-density C-200 encoders and decoders now support NMOS (Networked Media Open Specifications). In particular, the C-200 platform is compatible with IS-04 and IS-05 specifications.
NMOS is a family of free, open specifications that enable interoperability between multimedia devices in an uncompressed IP infrastructure. The addition of NMOS support enables provider-independent routing of uncompressed IP streams in the C-200 encoder without the need to write specific drivers or manual configuration. In addition, the C-200 decoder can be incorporated into uncompressed IP installations without complex manual configuration.
The C-200 encoder enables high density encoding of uncompressed IP streams for input, distribution, or internal monitoring. It can encode more than 64 channels in as little as 2U, much more than traditional systems. Similarly, the C-200 decoder provides high-density decoding of MPEG transport streams in uncompressed IP formats such as 2110. The C-200 is available as pure software for IT-centric deployments or as devices for more traditional configurations. It delivers ultra-high value in impeccable quality and with very low end-to-end latency.
