The new DAD Disaster Recovery (DAD-DR) system is a cloud-based backup and automation solution for disaster and emergency radio that can take control of a program's broadcast and continue to play ads at any time, in cases of natural disaster or critical technical failure.
Functioning as a full-featured clone of the station's local DAD implementation, DAD-DR remains in continuous synchronization with changes made to the local DAD system to ensure that the backup content is up to date and that all scheduled advertisements are executed.
The system can work in cases of weather-related events, power outages, targeted cyber attacks, computer viruses, and even equipment failures.
It operates with Enco's browser-based mobile control interface, WebDAD, allowing users to remotely update playlists, add new content, display voice tracks, and perform library maintenance, even if the station is completely out of service. Its backup function also allows broadcasters to have a constantly updated and external backup of all their valuable assets.
