The new Scorpio is a 32-channel, 36-track portable mixer-recorder designed for production sound, including the renowned Series 6 mixer and recorder, and the A10 digital wireless system.
It features 16 microphone/line preamps, 32 channels of Dante input and output, AES input and output, twelve analog outputs, and multiple headphone outputs. Its customizable routing matrix allows any input to be sent to any channel, bus or output, even individually mixing up to twelve buses.
It also has an ultra-powerful engine with three FPGA circuits and six ARM processors that give it the power needed for complex tasks, while FPGA-based audio processing with 64-bit data paths ensures high sound quality and reliability.
The equipment includes an analog microphone preamplifier from Sound Devices that offer smoother sound and low noise, along with built-in analog limiters, high-pass filters, delay, three-band equalizer and ghost power.
The Scorpio has an internal SSD and adds the ability to simultaneously record to two SD cards for redundancy. For flexibility, it allows you to send different files to a diverse selection of media.
