Latin America. Sony introduced the Alpha 7 V (ILCE-7M5), the fifth generation of the Alpha 7 full-frame range of mirrorless cameras. It incorporates the new partially stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor, with approximately 33 effective megapixels.
The new BIONZ XR2™1 image processing engine incorporates the functions of the AI processing unit of the latest Alpha™ series. Thanks to these innovations, the Alpha 7 V delivers improved performance in all aspects of the image, from Real-Time Recognition AF2 (AF) to Real-Time Tracking3, speed, stable color accuracy, still image capture, and video versatility.
In addition, Sony is launching the FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II (SEL28702), a compact and lightweight standard zoom lens with full-frame support, which facilitates high-speed continuous shooting of the Alpha 7 V.
The Alpha 7 V integrates the AI processing unit into the BIONZ XR2 engine, delivering a substantial advance in autofocus speed, accuracy and reliability. The Alpha 7 V features up to a 30% improvement in Real-Time Recognition AF, which instantly recognises target subjects and continues to capture them with high accuracy. With 759 phase-detection points and up to 94% frame coverage, the camera ensures accurate subject tracking across almost the entire image area, even in low-light conditions, even at an exposure level down to -4.05 EV.
