The HXR-MC88 camera is an entry-level Full HD professional camcorder that delivers state-of-the-art image performance at an affordable price, suitable for teaching video production, recording business or government presentations, or video blogs.
It is a lightweight and compact equipment with various functions such as fast hybrid autofocus, dual XLR professional audio and built-in ND filters. It features a powerful 1.0-type Exmor RS sensor and a Bionz X processing engine, with high sensitivity to produce Full HD images. Includes high-resolution OLED viewfinder and 3.5-inch LCD screen.
The camera includes a 29mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T wide-angle fixed lens to capture panoramic landscapes. The 12x optical zoom can be increased to 24x with the sharp image zoom, and the digital extender can double this range back to a 48x zoom.
The HXR-MC88 is designed to work seamlessly with Sony's MCX-500 multi-camera live producer, a robust and affordable mixer that makes it easy to record multi-camera live events.
