The Dutti Dolly from Matthews Studio Equipment features a simple design that is expanding the versatility of recording with common dolly. It has the ability to move discreetly in tight spaces without sacrificing stability.
The equipment design features a robust 1/2-inch thick rectangular aluminum platform and a built-in Mitchell stand. Measuring 20" x 24", it rolls extremely close to the ground at just under 2 inches tall and remains stable, either mounted directly on smooth surfaces or on rails.
Its 8 wheels and universal supports allow it to move smoothly on high-speed rails or in pipes found in a local hardware store, such as round, square, angular or PVC. It's perfect for smaller or traveling productions where quick setups are required and equipment is limited.
The Dutti Dolly can be mounted on the ground, on brackets or boxes of apples, on or under the drum without the oscillation seen in other small carriages. The compact footprint is easy to install and carry, though it's large and durable enough for standing or sitting applications, and supports mounting tripods, bazookas, tilting plates, and other accessories.
