MADRID, 17 Apr. (EUROPA PRESS) -
Telefonica is preparing a dollar debt issue divided into two tranches with maturities of five and ten years, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
According to information submitted to the SEC, the placement banks of the issue are BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Societe Generale.
This issue will be added to the one made by the multinational chaired by César Alierta last March for 1,000 million euros, with an eight-year maturity and an annual coupon of 3.961 percent.
Likewise, Telefónica launched at the beginning of 2013 the first issue of the year for an amount of 1,500 million euros over 10 years with a coupon of 4 percent, the lowest that the company has issued in a 10-year period in its history.
The company that closed last year with a net debt of 51,250 million euros, aims to reduce this figure to 47,000 million in 2013.
