MADRID, 29 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) -
Hewlett Packard (HP) has been awarded a contract with Prosegur to carry out an improvement of the technological infrastructure of the Spanish security firm, the company reported on Monday.
Specifically, HP has used its 'BladeSystem' solution to replace the obsolete technology based on hundreds of servers in Prosegur's 'rack' format with a virtualized environment "more simplified, more professional and with a great improvement in performance".
The technology group explained that the increase in Prosegur's customers in recent years has caused an increase in demand for its services, so the company needs to carry out a project that would provide high scalability, high performance at all times and an adjustment in energy consumption, with "all guarantees".
Thus, HP solutions have allowed Prosegur significant energy savings and greater ease of management as well as a reduction in the space required to house these systems.
At the same time, Prosegur will achieve with HP's solution to reduce operating costs by guaranteeing the flexibility of the Information Technology environment, the company said.
