Latin America. The latest version of Camio, the industry-standard graphics server, has just been introduced by ChyronHego, which expands the universe with unified and scalable graphics preview and visualization.
The new system includes key features designed to make producer-led news workflows even more versatile, flexible and cost-effective. Improvements in Camio 4.4 include a powerful new rendering engine architecture, the ability to publish content directly from the newsroom to social media, and LUCI5, a new HTML5 plugin for LUCI's graphics compliance interface.
The Camio Universe for news production is the integral ecosystem of all ChyronHego software that allows producers and journalists to create engaging news and quickly broadcast it on the air. With tools such as the LyricX graphics creation and broadcast solution and the Prime Graphics all-in-one platform, Camio Universe powers template-based, producer-based weather and news workflows using the most advanced IT-based technologies.
CAMIO Render Engine combines ChyronHego's legacy External Renderer and MediaMaker products into a single solution to render and preview all graphic elements directly from a newsroom computer system (NCRS) or a non-linear editing solution (NLE). CAMIO Render Engine provides an external renderer with which NCRS users can preview graphics created with LyricX and PRIME Graphics templates.
ChyronHego's easy-to-use interface for integrating Lyric graphics into NLE and other file-based workflows is now available as the Media Renderer software option in Camio Render Engine. Users can access the LUCI templated content creation interface to render animations for Lyric and Prime Graphics from a wide range of third-party NLE applications, including Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, and Grass Valley Edius.
The Camio Render Engine can be easily expanded when greater availability and more graphics are required, such as during coverage of a big breaking news story or a special event. Multiple drives can be added in parallel for redundancy and increased performance.
ChyronHego customers who currently own an external renderer or MediaMaker system will be able to convert their licenses to the Camio Render Engine.
Leveraging this new media processor, producers now have the power to send content directly from LUCI5 to Facebook and Twitter. Bridging the gap between on-air summary and non-linear social media and OTT outlets, LUCI5's new publishing capabilities make receiving news for viewers, whether over the air or via social media, faster and easier than ever.
