Latin America. Arri now makes it possible for Amira camera owners and operators to record on ArriRaw. The change will involve installing the new SUP 5.3 Software Update Package and purchasing a license. This will offer cinematographers the option to record ArriRaw 2.8K up to 48fps, further increasing the versatility of their Amira and expanding the options they can offer their customers.
"This is the answer to a growing demand," says Markus Duerr, Arri Amira Product Manager. "With ArriRaw's popularity growing, more and more Amira users have been asking us to make it available to them."
ArriRaw data produced on an Arri Amira can be considered a digital version of a camera negative. It is the only format that maintains the camera's natural color response and high exposure latitude as uncompressed and unencrypted sensor data. The raw data originally recorded remains pristine, thus providing flexibility in post-production and raw data archiving.
The Arri Amira is a versatile camera system that combines exceptional image quality and accessible CFast 2.0 workflows with an ergonomic design optimized for single-operator use and improved shoulder camera handling. The Amira, a camera ready to take out of the suitcase and roll, is robust enough to take anywhere and features internal gradation with preloaded 3D LUTs as well as slow-motion recording at 200 fps. It is suitable for a wide variety of productions, from reports to corporate films, telenovelas and low-budget films.
