Latin America. An intelligent robot equipped with a studio camera and that automatically moves to the four cardinal points, controlled by an operator remotely, is one of the main offers of Telemetrics, explained Carlos Cordero, field technician of the company specialized in video camera control systems.
"Introducing the Omniglide, which is the new product we are introducing for camera that moves in any direction without having to be manually rotated, it can travel to any direction the camera director wants through an advanced and easy-to-operate control panel that we have developed "RCCP-1A".
The Omniglide possesses a unique rotating system that allows for an ultra-smooth transition with continuous movements through changes of directions and speeds required by the operator without losing camera orientation," he said while showcasing the new product during NAB Show 2018.
And he explained: "It has an XY flat scan system that allows to detect obstructions and avoid collisions, also to know and memorize the parameters of the study where it is calculated the distance between points. In addition, to the automatic control, manual control is added, this option allows an operator to have full control of the system manually.
Cordero announced that Telemetrics will have this product available on the market in subsequent months: "This product will already be available in September 2018. There are many people who liked the product, are interested and we will surely have pre-orders. The process of researching, developing and creating the product required around nine months. We already have a presence in Ecuador "The Ecuadorian Assembly"; in the Parliament of Chile, in Brazil on GloboTV, in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro; in Mexico in the presidential house of Los Pinos; in Puerto Rico.
