Robotic camera to produce sports and reality

Latin America. The AW-HR140 is a new robotic model of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera with Full HD video quality from Panasonic, designed with a robust IP65 grade protective housing, which makes it resistant to water, extreme cold and heat, and which makes it an ideal equipment for outdoor television productions.

The camera represents an excellent solution to work outdoors without exposing the integrity of a cameraman, since due to its flexibility of assembly it can be installed in the upper part of a sports stadium, on the walls and roofs of buildings or in any outdoor space.

It is equipped with the same digital signal processor (DSP) and 3MOS Full HD sensors present in the AW-HE130 model, but with the inclusion of a motorized lens with optical zoom, as well as a Dynamic Image Stabilization System (D.I.S.S.) that is responsible for counteracting the movements and vibrations of the environment to maintain an image always sharp and in focus. The stabilizer system will be very useful when the camera is installed in a sports stadium because, even if the public makes the building shudder, the AW-HR140 will soften the movement generated by the enthusiastic fans.

The camera's fog reduction technology offers optimal image reproduction by automatically modifying brightness, contrast and lighting levels according to weather conditions. And if a dense fog turns into rain, snow or hail, the cleaning pen, similar to that of the windshield of a car, is responsible for removing the excess water from the camera lens. This function will be fundamental in the image quality for the production of weather reports, air quality or vehicular traffic conditions in a large city.

Weather resistant, the AW-HR140 withstands wind pressure at speeds of up to 50 m/s. In addition, the aluminium parts have coatings that are resistant to salting, overheating and freezing, even in temperatures down to -15°C, without suffering any damage to internal or external components.

The camera supports multiple video output formats, such as 1080/50p, 1080/50i, 1080/25p, and 720/50p, among others. It also includes two 3G-DSI compatible outputs and a Genlock input, as well as audio line inputs and connectivity for remote control via IP or via the following Panasonic controllers:
