Latin America. Blackmagic Design unveiled a new version of its program for compositions, visual effects, graphic animations and three-dimensional content. Fusion 9 has been designed to support new work dynamics and includes innovative tools for virtual reality, tracking of plans and cameras, cutting-edge technology in terms of composers and functions to collaborate on projects, among other features.
The new version of the program has indispensable tools for virtual reality projects, as well as an innovative panoramic viewfinder and a 360-degree three-dimensional work area. On the other hand, it offers the possibility of using several models of virtual reality glasses, such as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. In this sense, it should be noted that Fusion is fully interactive.
The dynamization of graphics processing through the use of the GPU allows you to interact with the elements of the scene in real time. Fusion 9 also supports stereoscopic content. In addition, the new spherical camera makes it easy to render full shots at once, without the need for complex platforms.
The new drawing tracking function calculates the trajectory, in order to superimpose elements on moving objects more accurately. For example, it is possible to replace posters or other flat objects that move in the scene. This feature is also useful when applying rotoscopic techniques. This way, you don't have to manually modify the position, perspective, movement, size, or rotation of rotoscoped elements as the image changes.
For its part, Fusion 9 Studio offers the possibility of carrying out the rendering in a computer network. Thus, in the case of those large studios where complex shots and high-end visual effects are processed, it is not necessary to buy a license for each equipment. Simply purchase Fusion 9 Studio and install it on as many drives as necessary, at no additional charge.
In addition to all the innovative features, Fusion 9 offers unprecedented speed, boosting graphics processing through the use of the OpenCL language and the GPU of the computer equipment. Moreover, the program provides compatibility with additional files and formats, such as DNxHR and MXF, among others. This allows it to be used in a greater variety of work dynamics and facilitates integration with DaVinci Resolve.
Blackmagic Design also reduced the price of Fusion Studio from $995 to just $299. In this way, the program is available to a greater number of users. It also offers the possibility of using it together with DaVinci Resolve to achieve extraordinary compositions, retouch images or create titles and graphic animations, among other options.
