AVBB helps comply with regulation on closed captioning

Mexico. Including their closed captioning broadcasts will be a challenge for Latin American broadcasters. Mainly in Mexico, where it will be a legal requirement within a few months, which must be met by free-to-air TV channels no later than next August. To do this, AVBB offers effective solutions, said Carlos Noguera, Sales Director for Latin America at Audio Video Brand Builder Corporation (AVBB).

"Closed captioning will be a legal requirement; therefore having our products will be a very viable solution and we can help them with that. It is not complex to install it, it is an audio desembebedor, which is sent to the person who makes the transcription, either a stenographer or an automatic system, and then the data is forwarded with the letters and then it goes on the air. With this, the delay will not be more than two seconds," he said during his participation in Expo Cine, Video y TV 2017, held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

He added: "Phabrix is our flagship instrument. We are introducing equipment to measure 4K and the rasterizer model is being very well accepted and the portable model is the main attraction at the show. This year we have teams for closed caption and we are working with EEG, who gave us the distribution for Latin America and it is being very well accepted."

On the solutions presented by AVBB in Mexico, Noguera mentioned: "We also present a live coloring system, so that producers have looks depending on the production they have. And obviously we have solutions from the companies we represent, such as Teracue and Cinedeck. We are promoting these brands and we have many business opportunities among Mexican companies."
