In Las Vegas, Shure presented its Axient Digital Wireless System, the new world-class wireless solution that was created from the superior benefits of the Company's products UHF-R, ULX-D and Axient wireless systems in order to create the most advanced wireless platform to date, suitable for all productions and professional situations.
Catering to growing customer needs, especially in an environment of constant RF spectrum pressure, Axient Digital delivers high-performance RF, exceptional audio quality, command and control, and hardware scalability.
Axient Digital has a receiver compatible with its two transmitters offered, the AD Series and the ADX Series. AD Series transmitters provide a high level of core benefits, including exceptional RF performance, digital audio, and networking. Axient Digital ADX Series transmitters incorporate ShowLink, which provides real-time control of all transmitter parameters with interference detection and avoidance. The ADX Series also includes the first micro body transmitter with integrated self-tuning antenna, allowing for better device concealment and greater comfort.

High performance RF: Axient Digital incorporates all the capabilities that professional productions require. Axient Digital is designed to achieve maximum signal stability. It has true digital diversity with Quadversity™ reception technology, which significantly reduces the possibility of signal losses or interference that can cause signal failures. Quadversity mode allows users to locate diversity antenna sets in different zones, or double the number of antennas in an area, to improve the RF Signal-to-Noise ratio in problematic environments. High Density mode increases the maximum number of simultaneous channels in the system, from 17 to 47 per 6-MHz TV band (from 23 to 63 per 8-MHz TV band), while maintaining exceptional audio quality.
Audio Quality: Axient Digital delivers pristine digital audio through Dante and AES3. It features a range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a flat frequency response and a precise transient response. Axient Digital also features dynamic range, AES-256 encryption, and industry-leading latency of 2ms from microphone transducer to analog output.
Command and Control: Axient Digital is compatible with Wireless Workbench® as well as the ShurePlus™ Channels application, for optimal spectrum management and frequency monitoring. The system's Dante Cue and Dante Browse features enable high-fidelity monitoring via headphones, with true audio output from any device with Dante connected. In addition, Axient Digital offers network charging through a suite of high-performance smart batteries and chargers.
Hardware and Scalability: Axient Digital's wide tuning range of up to 184 MHz for all transmitters and receivers spans a wide spectrum range and simplifies inventory. Dual and quad receiver options, combined with a common receiver platform that supports AD and ADX transmitters, maximize user flexibility and scalability.
The AD Series will be available in mid-2017, and the ADX Series will be available in early 2018.
