Latin America. Megatrax Production Music's latest original catalog, Track Distillery, goes straight to the essence of music in all genres, with basic elements specifically designed to emphasize and serve as a backdrop in TV shows and commercials.
From Orchestra to Rock each cut of 2:00 is edited to perfection in :60, :30, :15 ... until you reach :05. Track Distillery tracks come with a complete mix and options for each musical element within each cut, whether it's a remix, a new arrangement, or for basic use. It has the perfect cut for any image.
Producer Derek Jones characterizes the new catalog as "responsive," saying, "Track Distillery responds quickly to trends, requests, and changes within the industry. As an example, we have a full album of 'Nortec' (TD028). Nortec is an emerging style of hard techno that fuses elements of Norteño, Tambora and Banda, and we have 12 full tracks (63 tracks in total) of this one before the trend peaks."
Track Distillery offers "simplified" productions for use in Reality TV and television commercials. All music on Track Distillery is designed with builds, stops, breaks and stings. None of the tracks feature melodies or melodic instruments; all cuts are designed as musical beds to support scenes rather than overwhelm them. The catalog benefits from an eclectic mix of veteran and emerging composers highlighting the work of Peter Bateman, Sunna Wehrmeijer, Eddie Wohl, Mike Plas, Ivan Virijevic, Michael "NOMAD" Ripoll and David Sparkman, among others.
And just like a large collection of wines, Track Distillery offers the perfect combination of quality and quantity. It stands out from catalogs that offer only a handful of tracks in a specific style within an individual release. Track Distillery features full albums around specific themes, sounds, and subgenres. Says Jones: "Each album on Track Distillery has 12 tracks: All of these in the same genre and with the same specific direction. They vary in tempo, musical composition and harpsichord, but the palette of sounds within each album is the same because I am, by the way, limiting composers to using only the basic musical elements specific to the style they are writing. The concept is, if you like a track, but this one doesn't work for your spot, you have another 11 on that album with the same sound and style to choose from."
Track Distillery was released on May 30 with 30 albums and a total of 1524 cuts. Each bimonthly release will provide a wealth of updates.
