NAB. In the same way that the original Shogun helped the rapid transition from HD to 4K, Atomos intend to deliver 4K HDR to everyone with the launch of Shogun Flame and Ninja Flame.
The Atomos Flame series offers an advanced 7" field monitor, which accurately displays recording luminance detail with color accuracy for 10-bit HDR Postproduction, for the first time on a field monitor. The AtomHDR engine not only resolves HDR (dynamic range) brightness detail, with 10-bit color accuracy that also resolves information with 64 times more color than traditional 8-bit panels.
The Flame monitor series is equipped with the AtomHDR motor, using the power of 1500nit on the panel, to resolve the signal brightness details of the recording camera with the color accuracy of 10-bit HDR images mastered in post-production.
This means that the usual complications of exposing the log signals in an image wash are eliminated. The system can work with major camera manufacturers such as Sony, Canon, Panansonic, Arri, Red and JVC.
