International. GatesAir will showcase the latest advances in its Flexiva and Maxiva radio systems and DAB transmitters at IBC2015, including the international debut of the range of liquid-cooled transmitters for FM and digital radio stations, Flexiva FLX.
Flexiva FLX's design incorporates a heat transfer to the liquid that removes heat from the RF plant without excessive air conditioning, helping to reduce the stations' monthly utility costs and establish a green plant. The transfer itself cools the air in the RF plant, moving heat from the transmitter to the outside through a liquid-air heat exchanger with redundant fan systems.
"Our continued efficiency gains in solid-state liquid cooling technology make operations much more cost-effective and easier to maintain than in the past," said Rich Redmond, chief product officer at GatesAir.
For maximum design efficiency and liquid cooling, low-noise pump modules are integrated into the transmitter in most facilities to further reduce your footprint. Two fully redundant cooling pumps operate in a closed-loop design, with self-changing capability in the event of a failure to ensure adequate and constant cooling of the transmitter.
