International. Linear Acoustic will be exhibiting its Mt2000 Bitstream multichannel analyzer at IBC 2015. With a full range of testing capabilities, it allows engineers to analyze and troubleshoot digital audio paths quickly and anywhere in or out of a facility. It is ideal for a variety of testing applications, including broadcast, cable, satellite and home theater.
"The Linear Acoustic MT2000 Multichannel Bitstream Analyzer is the next generation in PCM and Dolby encoded audio analysis," says Tim Carroll, chief technology officer of the Telos Alliance. "It is an effective tool for end-to-end system testing and is ideal as a replacement for the original Dolby DM100."
This portable diagnostic tool provides information on current composition and surround input, identification of input video format, frame rate, and audio sequence analysis, as well as error detection in the AES3 layer.
Users can therefore use two tracking and analysis channels, multichannel PCM and Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby E. The MT2000 can also analyze the SMPTE 337 format, measure the Dolby E security band and line position, and display all metadata contained in a formatted Dolby bitstream.
In support of ATSC A/85 (CALM) and EBU R128 recommendations, it also includes extensive TU-R BS.1770-1/2/3 volume measurement capabilities with user-selectable Dolby Dialog Intelligence.
