Blackmagic released DaVinci Resolve 12 beta

International. Blackmagic Design announced that the beta version of the DaVinci Resolve 12 editing  program is now available and can be downloaded from the company's website. The company also unveiled the new names for the DaVinci Resolve product line, as well as other "secret" features not included in the original launch and that were only made public for the first time.

The new version of DaVinci Resolve is one of the most important updates of the program and offers innovative features that make it the most advanced editing and color grading system on the market. The beta version will allow users to test the application and integrate it into different types of facilities, and on the other hand will provide the company with valuable feedback and suggestions that will facilitate the final development phase to provide an extremely solid and reliable product.

The response obtained from DaVinci Resolve users and their advice have always been a great contribution. By using the beta, they will be able to collaborate with Blackmagic Design to refine the product. Without the support of the people using the program, it would not have been possible to develop DaVinci Resolve 12, and the company is extremely grateful for their contributions. The team of engineers has made a great effort to take this version forward.

The free version of DaVinci Resolve Lite will be renamed DaVinci Resolve only. This is because it is not a limited version, but includes a greater number of features and tools than any other product. DaVinci Resolve is a comprehensive professional editing and color grading solution for independent publishers performing projects in SD, HD or UHD.

On the other hand, the DaVinci Resolve Software version, which is priced at $ 995, will be called DaVinci Resolve Studio. This more adequately describes the fact that it includes other types of services needed in larger installations. The DaVinci Resolve Studio version is aimed at users who need to create advanced editing and color editing systems with multiple GPUs, and provides support for three-dimensional stereoscopic processes and in 4K DCI definition, as well as offering tools to carry out collaborative projects and render content remotely.

Once users get used to DaVinci Resolve 12 and start generating revenue from their creative projects, they will be able to upgrade the system by purchasing the DaVinci Resolve Studio version at just $995.
