Telefe migrates to Premiere Pro and After Effects to edit HD

Argentina. Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects have been implemented in Telefe to edit your HD content. As part of Adobe Creative Cloud, applications are tightly integrated, speeding up workflows, standardizing HD content editing processing to 100%, and quickly training and getting used to publishers.

Being a company that stands out for its permanent technological innovation, in 2013 Telefe began with hdtv broadcasting. That's when he began to have complications with the editing programs he used so far. "These systems stopped evolving, encountering numerous limitations to process HD, as well as difficulties in the integration of the different video streams from ingestion to archiving and cataloging," says Santiago Guimerans, Manager of Information Systems and Technology at Telefe.

Telefe needed a professional tool that standardized with the rest of the programs necessary for the HD content editing process, that was 64-bit and that would provide support in this new stage of the channel. So, Telefe began the search to find the tool that best suited the needs and allowed it to continue providing content with quality editing.

"As we already had the licenses since we had been using other tools of the Adobe Suite with very good results, we decided that the best option was to lean towards Adobe Premiere Pro combined with After Effects," recalls Santiago.

Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects were implemented in the areas of artistic post-production, editing, newscasting and the 8 channels inside. The results are as expected: "We managed to standardize 100% of the editing process throughout the country in Adobe," says Gustavo Capua, Director of Resources.

Because of the good results they're getting with Creative Cloud tools, they're currently testing SpeedGrade CC, a color grading app that provides layer-based color correction and design tools to ensure digital video projects maintain consistency and visual appeal.
