Colombia. During the last version of TecnoTelevisión, Osram presented to the film, photography and entertainment market its new Led equipment Kreios SL, ideal solution for lighting studios, shows, exhibitions and events in general. Over the past few months, the company has tested TV channels using this product in different situations.
Felipe Ángel, Regional SP Sales Manager of Osram de Colombia, explained to TVyVideo that this is an LED lamp that can replace a 250w fresnel but with additional functions. It serves, for example, for recordings in places without the necessary infrastructure, such as when reporting in a normal house, where when connecting a 1,000w light the service is suspended due to excess power. This lamp only consumes 60w which facilitates use outside the studio.
He added that "it adds other functions that help the lighting technician. It has a variable zoom that allows you to make the spot or fill light with the same luminaire and facilitates external recordings because it can be mounted on a tripod, reduces the transport of equipment as well as the internal maintenance of channels. "
Diego Pico, from the company Qparts, distributor of Osram in Colombia, explained what the tests that are currently carried out with channels consist of. "We gave Caracol Televisión three samples of the equipment that are being used to replace fresnels that illuminate the scenery of the news set. Also, they are being tested in reporting and have found great benefits thanks to their weight of only two kilos."
The Kreios SL provides high energy efficiency, has durability of 30,000 hours, color temperature of 3200K and IRC of 95. With 60W of power, the device offers a luminous flux of 3000lm, a performance equivalent to a 250W Fresnel type lamp. In addition, the Kreios SL provides flexibility in installation, due to its compact power supply and multiple mounting possibilities.
Other benefits of the equipment are the options to vary the opening angle between 40° and 120°, with zoom adjustment, apart from dimerization and a fixed 24° reflector for high-level applications.
