International. The Hitachi SK-UHD4000 uses a patented four-port RGB prism system combined with four sensors, two are green, to deliver the 4K performance of a single 35mm CFA sensor in a standard portable camera chassis. This makes it possible to use standard broadcast 2/3" lenses, and for the camera to work seamlessly with both 4K or 2K tv studio and field live production infrastructures.
This unique design also avoids the artifacts of the bayering process needed to retrieve rgb signal components from the individual CFA sensors used in most current 4K cameras. By preserving the clear advantage of optically capturing light in RGB components, rather than electronically and mounting them later, the SK-UHD4000 achieves sharper noise-free 4K images.
Other features include everything from 4K frame, outputs from the ability to change the 4K transport flow from square view to two-sample collation, 3G HD-SDI switchable Level-A/B, and standalone simultaneous multi-format (2K or 4K).
The SK-UHD4000 is the only 4K broadcast camera using 2/3" lenses that are in use in the field.
