Snell announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility for the company's professional routing switcher line. This facility is located in close proximity to Snell's router research and development area in Reading, UK, to leverage expertise in routing technologies and accelerate new product launches.
This new plant is Snell's third facility in the UK to bring together manufacturing and research and development in one place. The plant joins the one located in Saffron Walden for the production of the Kahuna switcher and other products, and another in Havant that focuses on Snell's conversion systems and Modular IQ infrastructure products.
According to Paul Martin, Snell's director of care, this new plant is a reflection of Snell's rapid growth in the market, and is instrumental in its efforts to continue to meet and exceed customer demand and expectations for routing products, such as the Sirius 800 family.
"By creating a closer link between manufacturing and research and development, we will be able to improve knowledge sharing, which in turn will serve to streamline product development logistics and help us bring new products to market faster."
