In 2009, after the launch of FOR-A's HVS-300HS HD/SD portable video switcher , Chilevisión acquired two units for its broadcast operations. Currently, two other HVS-300HS switchers are being installed on the channel, for a total of four.
One of the units is used as the main switcher in a small production room for dramas. The other units are used as backup switchers in case of emergencies in the control room.
In Chile, FOR-A has an extensive list of customers who have used its products for special applications. Broadeyes Producciones, an independent production company based in Santiago, chose the HVS-300HS for its HD mobile, becoming the first HD production truck of its kind in Chile.
For its part, the Equestrian Club of Santiago bought a 2 M/E HVS-3800HS switcher for its production needs. In the education sector, the HVS-300HS switcher was installed at the Central University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University.
