Sony Creative Software announced version 9.0d of Vegas Pro, the latest update to that app for NLE editing of HD video and audio. The program incorporates advanced closed caption tools for broadcast editors, and supports multi-layer PSD files and timeline burn to DVD to give greater editing flexibility and efficiency to creative professionals.
Closed caption support provides a workflow that allows them to import, edit and export data subtitled CEA-608 to Sony XDCAM MXF high definition material. The support of the multi-layer PSD format in Vegas 9.0d provides a highly flexible model for professionals to quickly create complex animations from a single PSD image. This new feature allows for more creative compositions when working with PSD files by providing individual control over the different layers of the file.
The PreSonus FaderPort control surface, meanwhile, offers greater flexibility in the control and automation of the Vegas Pro 9.0d via hardware. The touch-sensitive device is perfect for controlling volume and panning parameters, as well as playback, stops, starting transport functionalities and handling markers for faster audio and video editing.
