Fujinon introduces six new lenses in conjunction with its 3D Synchronous Control System for 3D production. The lenses are characterized by high optical and mechanical specifications, as well as precise zoom and gears for focusing.
Lenses that are to be used in tandem for 3D productions must share the same focal length and, during shooting, must also match in zoom and focus position. The 3D Synchronous Control System includes the ERD-10A-D01 Zoom and HJ-303A-06A Synchronizer/Focus controllers, plus two SA-206H cables, which provide the interface between the 3D controllers and the lenses. The system synchronizes the left and right lenses in such a way that the zoom and focus move evenly.
Four new B4 lens mounts are designed for 3D HD productions. The HA23X7.6BEZD-T5DD offers a 23X zoom with a focal length of 7.6-175mm (15.2-350mm with a 2X extender). The HA18x7.6BEZD-T5DD offers an 18X zoom with a focal length of 7.6-137mm (15.2-274mm with a 2X extender). A fourth lens, the HAs18X7.6 3BZD-T5DD has an 18X zoom with a focal length of 7.6-137mm without a 2X extender. All four lenses include internal focus, focus limit and fast zoom, with an optional 16-bit encoder.
Fujinon also offers two lenses for 3D extended definition. The A4X7.5BMD-DNL has a 4X zoom with a focal length of 7.5-30mm, while the A8X12BMD-DNL has an 8X zoom with a focal length of 12-96mm. Both broadcast-quality lenses include a B4 mount.
For maximum use, these lenses can be used with the Synchronous Control System for 3D or with controllers of other brands for simultaneous zoom and focus control.
