Quantel announced that its V4.1 Rev7 software for Pablo iQ and eQ includes native support for CineForm RAW files generated by Silicon's Imaging SI-2K camera. This development opens up Quantel's workflow capabilities for projects done on the SI-2K camera, as used in 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
According to Steve Owen, Marketing Director at Quantel, "Our customers are working on an increasing number of projects that have been digitally captured, so our customers have asked us to help them by building an efficient post-production flow for the material captured in SI-2K. This new development includes Cineform compression and its Active Metadata workflow that makes it easier to work on projects filmed in SI."
