With the introduction of the new Wide Converter EXII 0.8x., 16x9 Inc. offers an HD lens converter at a low price. With a two-element design, the compact and lightweight Wide Converter increases wide-angle coverage by 20%.
EXII 0.8x was designed for the Fujinon 17X zoom lenses that come with the Panasonic HPX300 and JVC GY-HM700 HD cameras. However, 16x9 Inc. is applying the optical enhancements of the EXII 0.8X for a variety of commercially available HDV cameras such as Canon, Panasonic and Sony. In addition to the 62, 72, 77 and 82mm front threads, 16x9 Inc. offers several bayonet mounts.
The lens completely retains its zoom capability and there is no loss of light or vignetting.
