For a limited time, Echolab will offer all its customers – including Latin Americans – a low-cost replacement of the chassis of the SD Nova, Opera and Overture switchers , with the company's recently launched multi-definition switcher , the 1-M/E Atem.
According to Ankit Patel, the company's product manager, "We hope this upgrade offer will help mitigate some of the concerns regarding the transition to HD production. Our customers maintain their dashboard and workflow, and simply replace the chassis. Because every input in the Atem switcher accepts SD signals, it's easy to swap out the old chassis and unlock the features and power of an Atem switcher , all at an unbeatable price."
The Atem production switcher , which supports the 3Gbps 1080p/60 standard, has the flexibility and functionality to adapt to almost any production environment. Atem's ten mixed-format inputs, with synchronization and scaling functions included, accept SD and HD signals, while two of these inputs also allow computer signals via HDMI.
Echolab assumes that its customers will retain their existing dashboard, while the switcher chassis is replaced to allow for all of Atem's functionalities.
