D2 Video Produções Ltda., a live production company located in São Paulo, Brazil, made a significant investment in the purchase of a new HD production equipment from Grass Valley.
The Brazilian company is building a new brand of high-definition mobile units and updating its HD production studios with new Grass Valley cameras, 3X SloMo cameras, slow-motion playback systems, audio and video routers, and HD production switchers . The business also includes a three-year service contract that will provide D2 Video with a warranty for all Grass Valley products.
The new mobile production unit – fully equipped with HD technology from Grass Valley – will allow D2 to meet the growing need for high-definition sports production in the Brazilian market. The truck will feature twelve LDK 8000 Elite multi-format HD cameras with triaxial adapters, an LDK 8300 Live Super SloMo camera system, a Kayak digital production switcher , three K2 Dyno units, a K2 Summit slow-motion playback system and an HD Concerto (96x96 I/O matrix) video router.
For its part, the HD production studio that is being built by D2 Video includes five LDK 8000 Elite multiformat HD cameras with triaxial cabling, an HD Kayak production switcher with a Jupiter control system, an Acappella multiformat routing system, and several conversion modules of the GeckoFlex signal processing system.
