Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) bought six LDK 8000 Elite HD multiformat cameras from Grass Valley, which will be added to the twelve cameras that the channel already has and that have been used for more than a year.
The cameras will be used in a new HD production studio, located in Santiago, as well as in a new mobile unit that will cover remote productions. The order was placed in October and the new cameras have been on the air at TVN Chile since January.
The twelve existing LDK 8000 cameras were recently upgraded with the Elite version and are used in two mobile production units and two studios, each with three cameras.
This series features HD-DPM+ sensors that offer up to 9.2 million pixels and have a capability to capture progressive images in native HD, switched to any format.
