With a production Kahuna SD/HD switcher from Snell as the core, Chile's Channel 13 introduced that country's first HD transmission facility. This project, which represented the first sale of Kahuna in Chile, allows mixing SD content within an HD programming.
Channel 13 now has full production capacity in high definition and will also continue to have material from SD sources. Kahuna's FormatFusion technology gives the Channel the ability to integrate any SD material, from the camera or files, into an HD stream without having to invest in conversion equipment.
In addition, Kahuna's ImpaKT 3D DVE suite allows you to incorporate 3D effects and transitions into productions.
