During NAB, Rohde & Schwarz will showcase transmission, measurement and testing solutions for the ATSC, ISDB-TB and DVB-T2 digital standards.
Among the company's achievements in this field are having put into operation for the first time a multiplexer and exciter for mobile ATSC compatible with the A/153 standard. It also participated in the initial DVB-T2 projects, and currently provides transmitters, measurement and testing equipment for the ISDB-TB standard, which is being widely adopted in Latin America.
At the show, Rohde & Schwarz will exhibit the ETL TV analyzer that provides RF measurements for transmission installations under the ATSC standard and SFN optimization. Likewise, it will carry the SFU, SFE and SFE100 signal generators that serve for the development and production of receivers and chips for ATSC and mobile ATSC.
For Latin American countries that have adopted the ISDB-TB standard, the company will show high and medium power transmitters and announce the improvements of the SCx8000 transmitter that will be available from the summer of 2010 and that will allow, among other things, to cover the ISDB-TB standard. In measurement and testing, the ETL analyzer will be brought to NAB to demonstrate SFN measurements for ISDB-TB.
In addition, Rohde & Schwarz will soon conduct a seminar tour of Latin America in which it will address everything related to ISDB-TB operations. Those interested in attending these meetings will be able to register at the company booth during NAB.
