Gepco International introduced the extra-flexible coaxial cable for HD, VHD13F, with three braided audio pairs, designed for the rigorous demands of ENG applications.
The VHD13F is a co-extruded cable that houses the audio and video components, side by side. This design reduces the size and weight of the cable, making it ideal for transportation to outdoor productions. Each audio pair is individually shielded and insulated with a polyester foil shield and drain wire.
The video component of the VHD13F is a high-definition coaxial cable, type RG59, which offers a precise, centered and fixed conductor, and a unique double braided shield. Coaxial video is estimated for a bandwidth of 4.5 GHz, making the VHD13F an accurate cable for the transmission of uncompressed high-definition television and SDI and high-definition analog video formats, in which audio and intercom are also required.
The company also put on the market the VHD2001M video cable for HD, an RG6-type coaxial, designed for high-definition video applications. Certified with a bandwidth of 4.5 GHz, this cable is ideal for uncompressed HD signal transmissions on connection boards or remote applications. With Gepco HD coaxial cables, all critical mechanical and electrical characteristics are manufactured with precise tolerances to ensure signal accuracy and data transmission. Electrical specifications meet or exceed SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 24M standards for HD, while mechanical dimensions conform to industry requirements.
