Primera Technology, maker of CD/DVD publishing systems and Blu-ray discs, announced its partnership with Imagine Products, Inc. to offer integrated support to the company's software, ShotPut Pro, in a combined solution that the two companies showed at the last NAB. The proposal indicates that video professionals can integrate into their stream an automatic process of archiving content on media such as DVD and Blu-ray using primera's Bravo series software and publisher.
The ability to automatically archive from P2, AVCHD, SxS and RED ONE cards, for example, is something videographers required. When the system detects a video volume, it starts a download process to multiple locations, which may include hard drives and the Bravo publisher. The burned disk is printed directly with the user's personalized information, which can include metadata directly taken from the camera's memory. The available version of shotPut Pro software can be installed on any Mac operating system 10.4 or higher. The version for Windows XP and Vista will be released soon.
