Crawford Communications will be the first service provider to deploy SAMMA systems for converting videotapes to digital files, speeding up so up to ten times the process of converting to files from computer than the solutions available today. Jesse Crawford, manager of Crawford Communications, and Mark Gray, President of SAMMA Systems made the announcement together during NAB.
According to Crawford, most of our clients have files of videotapes, some, quite extensive. With the new SAMMA systems, we will be able to offer the conversion of U-matic and Betacam tapes. Speed and cost-effectiveness of SAMMA systems will allow us to digitize the files of our customers, so that they will have immediate access to your digital assets.
Fast service ensures a high video and audio quality thanks to the Analysis equipment Engine, by SAMMA, whose patent is pending. The multiple streams of converted content are simultaneously encoded in open standards files, such as JPEG 2000, MPEG-4, and virtually any internet flow protocol. The new files created from archived videotapes are compatible with current information technologies workflow and are ready to be navigated, viewed and economically exploited.
