The Vitec Plc Group announced the signing of an agreement to purchase ALC Broadcast Limited, parent company of Broadcast Development Limited (BDL) and autoscript, leaders in the design and manufacture of teleprompting systems.
Joop Janssen, President of the Broadcasting Systems Division of the Vitec Group, said:

Autoscript is a leading provider of teleprompting products and technologies around the world that are broadly complementary to our product line and business model. This acquisition will strengthen our portfolio through a strong partnership with the Vinten, Vinten Radamec and Sachtler brands, and drive the development of innovative integrated products for use in studios, robotics and electronic news capture (ENG) in the field itself."With impactful innovations such as voice-activated prompting, Autoscript management expressed optimism with the acquisition.
