Dielectric Communications, a leading provider of high-power antennas for broadcast and other transmission equipment, announced the installation of its antenna for broadcasting TUA-04SP-2/8U-1-T in Vanguarda, a chain of television located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The antenna, as well as a NEC transmitter, will be used to broadcast programming in a analog channel and in another digital to more than 900,000 people in the state of Sao Paulo.
Our Mission in Vanguarda is to inform and entertain the public in our area of influence as well as contributing to cultural and economic progress of our region, said Sandro Sereno, technical administrator in the Vanguarda. Dielectric's TUA antenna will help us expand our broadcasts across the state and, by so much, to fulfill this mission.
Leonardo Scheiner, de Tacnet, Dielectric's representative in South America, facilitated the sale and installation of the product. Vanguarda uses the new antenna Dielectric's TUA bandwidth to cover the provinces of Sao José dos Campos, Jacareí, Caçapava and Igaratá. The chain sends an analog signal over channel 17 and is now ready to launch a digital signal on channel 16.
This is really a pioneering project for Vanguarda and for the Brazilian industry of broadcast television, in general, said Charles Peabody, Senior Director of International Sales at Dielectric. Are proud to be part of the digital television revolution of Brazil and to be able to deliver news and other information important to as vast and economically robust a region as Sao Paulo.
