NAB announced the winners of the fourth annual award for Media Innovation (AIM). The ATTENDEES of the NAB2006 exhibition voted between 24 and 25 of April for those technological innovations that solve the best way to current and future affairs within the electronic media industry, for having improved the efficiency, increased flexibility, favored creativity to users, and to rationalize costs.
Top Five products within three categories (Content Creation, Content Management, and Content Delivery) were Finalists.
Within the Creation category of contents, the following products received the highest vote counting by participants, and all These were awarded the 2006 NAB AIM award: Adobe Production Studio, adobe systems; Final Cut Studio, by Apple; Maya, de Autodesk-Media & Entertainment; the camcorder XLH1 HD, from Canon USA; the 4K Cinema camera, from Red Digital Cinema; Panasonic's HVX200 camcorder and Sony's XDCAM HD.
The winners in the category Content management were: REV PRO, from Grass Valley; Little Big Disk 320GB, from LaCie; TriCaster PRO, from NewTek; the MediaGrid file storage system, from Omneon Video Networks; openGear, by Ross Video, in collaboration with the Cobalt Digital & Ward-Beck systems, and Sonicfire software Pro 4, from SmartSound Software.
They also received the award. AIM within the Content Delivery category, the AmiNET124, Amino Communications; the messaging transmitter configurable (CMT), from Global Microwave Systems; the monitor of multichannel broadcast Volicon's Observer 4CH and Volicon's inV Vyvx.
