TV Azteca recently installed a complete Jampro DTV system at its stations in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, becoming the first network to broadcast digital television signals in Latin America.
Jampro's three installations included panels for broadband JUHD antennas with mask filters and combiners, power separators for RCPU antenna panel, and rigid line transmission systems. TV Azteca's new technology engineering group reported that Jampro's systems exceeded its expectations for performance. Jampro's systems were specified given their wide bandwidth for their multi-channel operations over UHF IV and V bands. TV Azteca employs JUHD to broadcast channels D24 and D25 in Mexico City, D31 and D33 in Guadalajara, and D39 and D43 in Monterrey.
Jampro's DTV systems were specified as a result of the successful operation of more than 700 analog systems at TV Azteca for many years throughout Mexico. As indicated by TV Azteca's New Technologies Engineering Group, Jampro not only met the difficult supply requirements for more than 12 years, but has been able to design, implement and provide analog and DTV integrated systems, from the transmitter to the antenna.
