Vegas Pro 10 also has an improved support for closed caption that allows you to preview subtitles in the video window, supports subtitling of line 21, as well as CAPTURING HD-SDI subtitles and printing from AJA and Blackmagic Design cards. Other updates include increased support for various types of subtitle files, as well as the ability to export subtitle data for DVD Architect, YouTube, RealPlayer, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player.
New workflow tools include expanding multicam functionality, optimizing DSLR video performance, nesting projects within the timeline, and creating application scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
Another new feature is image stabilization technology to reduce instability and flicker of video footage. It allows you to recover these media quickly using various optimized defaults.
The new Video Effects Plug-in SDK (software developer kit) based on the Open Effects Association platform, allows developers of plugins from other brands to make advanced video effects plugins easier and faster.
As for audio, the new VU meters, available on the mixer, offer a slow measurement that oscillates between peaks and dips to provide a visual representation of the perceived volume of the material. Likewise, Vegas Pro 10 makes it possible to record, monitor and mix audio from external devices through the input buses.
