Harmonic and Scopus Video Networks, solution provider of network for digital video, announced the signing of an agreement definitive according to which Harmonic will acquire Scopus. The acquisition will expand Harmonic's global customer base and strengthen its position in the market, in particular in the international markets for dissemination, contribution and distribution video.
Under the terms of the final agreement, which was approved by the board of directors of both companies, Harmonic to pay $5.62 in cash for each share in Scopus's paying circulation, which values the company in US$51 million, total cash and short-term investments of Scopus.
