Apantac's Tahoma series of multivisors includes three platforms (LE4, LE16, LE32) to meet various visual monitoring requirements in different formats. This family detects from 4 to 32 video inputs (HD/SD-SDI/Composite), supports DVI, HDMI and VGA outputs up to 2048x1080 (including 1080P), and has an alarm for audio and video detection. The Tahoma series has a CATx extender that allows to carry digital signals of 1080P to a maximum of 35 meters. The combination of a multivisor and a CATx extender in one solution eliminates any equipment incompatibility that may arise.
Users can customize the appearance of their own screen with any tool for graphics. Video windows on the monitor can include different labels, and support UMD, OMD, IMD, and individual tags. Tahoma multivisors include 16 channels of "embedded" audio per input, with four channels of analog or digital audio as an option. Audio can be associated with video windows or work as an individual audio meter.
Apantac will also present at NAB 2009 the MD HOOD family of KVM switches with built-in CATx extenders. These dual interface switches (PS2 and USB) allow you to control 8 to 16 computers simultaneously. Each entry can be assigned a username and key to improve security.
