Globalstor Data, a provider of high-speed mass storage solutions, presented its new FibreStor-DI, designed specifically for high-performance playback and storage requirements of HD digital video, digital intermediation, correction of color, and other eCinema and video applications.
This new solution of Raid storage over Fibre Channel provides untreated level at more than 700 MB/sec under Raid platform 5, making FibreStor-DI the perfect solution for applications such as Spirit 2K, DaVinci 2K, and the like require real-time 2K playback or recording.
FibreStor-DI includes a Dual Raid controller in a separate 1U enclosure, two chassis 16 bays, 32-channel fibre channel handlers (73, 147 and 300 GB) and support for Raid levels 0, 1, (0+1), 3, 5, 10, 30, 50, NRAID, and JBOD. In order to ensure a system crash time to virtually zero, FibreStor-DI consists of several components interchangeable in service, including power sources dual, dual Raid controllers, cooling modules dual, I/O node modules, battery units and modules of administration interface.
