Latin America. Sony introduced the "SRG-AS10" camera with PTZ Auto Framing function and support for 4K 60p recording, which uses Sony's proprietary AI to automatically recognize and track subjects, and capture them with natural composition; and the entry-level 4K PTZ camera "SRG-XS10".
Both models are equipped with a 1/2.8-type 4K image sensor with Sony's exclusive image sensor technology, STARVIS,™ which enables clear video to be captured, even in low-light environments.
In addition, the cameras have been enhanced with natural and seamless Pan and Tilt operation, which produces smooth camera movement from start to finish, without sudden acceleration or deceleration.
The SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10 cameras support up to 10x optical zoom in 4K format. On the other hand, when using Tele Convert mode, the zoom can reach up to 20x in Full HD, offering flexible framing for a variety of shooting and streaming situations.
These cameras can be placed at different distances, from the foreground to the end of the room, to record in concert halls, theaters, gyms, and other similar places. Its compact and lightweight design blends seamlessly into a variety of environments such as classrooms, huddle rooms, or even tight spaces such as stage racks or sports venues, where it can be difficult to locate a camera operator. This allows for different installation configurations and enables high-resolution video capture to clearly convey the subjects' facial expressions.
"With the announcement of the SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10 cameras, Sony continues to provide professional and reliable 4K capture tools for real-world AV environments," said Rich Ventura, vice president, Professional Display Solutions at Sony Electronics. "By combining intelligent automation, seamless PTZ performance, flexible integration, and support for the most widely used routing and control protocols, these compact cameras remove technical hurdles and allow educational, corporate, and livestreaming environments to focus on what matters most: the message and the presentation."
The new models, SRG-AS10 and SRG-XS10, are expected to be available towards the end of 2026.
