IBCs. LiveU launched Nexus, a universal, cloud-native gateway for digital and IP-based workflows, enabling customers to get even more value from their LiveU Ecosystem.
LiveU Nexus seamlessly moves IP video content in and out of different platforms and environments, including SDI, SMPTE 2110, and NDI-based production systems, using existing and new workflows.
Designed to simplify complex IP streams—especially digital video capture—LiveU Nexus acts as an efficient and reliable universal gateway for all IP-based signals within the LiveU ecosystem. It offers unlimited access to live streams to and from any system, allowing users to enter, transform, route, and send any signal in seconds.
All types of sources can be seamlessly connected from anywhere to any destination, including LRT™ (LiveU Reliable Transport), SRT, RTMP, HLS, and more, both on-premises and in the cloud. Producers can import live content from Zoom, YouTube, and other social platforms using simply a meeting URL or link, with no need for converters or workarounds.
Key features included:
• Protocol Conversion – Transforms any IP format to LRT™ and other leading protocols. LiveU Nexus sends any live stream to the LiveU Ecosystem or third-party solutions without the need for additional hardware or converters.
• Digital and Social Media Capture and Routing – Integrate Zoom meetings, YouTube videos, and Facebook live streams into broadcast workflows, including a web browser as an input source.
• Elastic scalability in the cloud – Designed to grow with the demands of cloud production, as workflows evolve.
Resolutions, frame rates, aspect ratios, and codec differences are automatically normalized between signals, ensuring immediate compatibility with downstream tools. In addition, any IP signal can be sent to LiveU's IP cloud solutions, such as LiveU Studio (cloud production), LiveU Ingest (recording) or LiveU Matrix (IP distribution), and integrated with already installed LiveU receivers, without the need for extra configurations or equipment.
LiveU will be at IBC in Hall 7, Stand 7.C19
