IBCs. GatesAir launches its AirWatch365 remote monitoring service overseas next month in IBC2025, with visual presentations of the NOC-based monitoring environment, visible to GatesAir technicians.
Available through the GatesAir Care program, this service provides television and radio broadcasters with a dedicated team of GatesAir RF experts to monitor transmitter performance, analyze RF conditions, and proactively respond to issues that impact quality of experience and uptime. GatesAir exhibits at booth 8.B75.
GatesAir introduced AirWatch365 at the NAB Show 2025 in April as a secure value-added service from GatesAir Care that offered broadcasters a reliable option to outsource support and maintenance, as the industry's RF engineering resources were reduced.
New to IBC, GatesAir has enabled remote connectivity with DAB/DAB+ transmitters, signaling the availability of AirWatch365 to customers in Europe and the UK from IBC, with plans to expand to other international regions next year. GatesAir's in-house staff will frequently collaborate with local channel partners as the service expands beyond North America.
AirWatch365 monitoring infrastructure leverages each transmitter's control system through its secure application gateway to generate 24/7 alarms, accelerate root cause diagnosis, and execute immediate remediation tasks (parameter adjustments, parts deployment, software updates, etc.).
Engineers will also closely monitor performance trends that suggest potential issues and move into troubleshooting mode to proactively resolve them as needed. AirWatch365 can also connect to and monitor other RF plant equipment with the appropriate network interfaces and safety parameters.
Available as a standalone monitoring solution, AirWatch365 can be added to three GatesAir Care service level agreements (SLAs). All three tiers offer flexible contract structures and service options, including on-site preventative maintenance plans, installation, commissioning, and on-site live technical support for large broadcast events.
GatesAir has developed a Best Practices Guide for new AirWatch365 customers that details the essential network and security requirements needed to connect the service. This process is straightforward and can be implemented through the support of channel partners or GatesAir's customer service team.
