IBCs. Riedel Communications announced a major expansion of its SimplyLive live production portfolio, with the introduction of new solutions and enhancements designed to deliver greater adaptability, scalability and integration for broadcast, sports and live event workflows.
The release includes the new Flex licensing program for the SimplyLive Production Suite, the introduction of the RiView video review system, the expansion of RiMotion's playback offerings and contribution to Venue Gateway, and the SimplyLive Connect API for seamless integration with third parties.
With the SimplyLive Production Suite Flex licensing program, Riedel enables users to tailor their production environments to their operational and financial needs, whether on-premises, remote, or in the cloud. Users can now choose from a variety of hardware options and deployment models to suit their production goals and budgets, from one-time purchases to pay-as-you-go or hybrid models.
As a complement to the RefBox software solution, designed for arbitration, training and analytical workflows, Riedel introduced the new SimplyLive RiView packages. RiView integrates the powerful RefBox solution into cost-effective packages for a wide range of video review needs.
The RiView lineup includes the RV4, RV8 and RV16 models, offering configurations from 4 to 16 HD inputs with synchronized multi-angle control, an intuitive touchscreen interface and seamless remote control functions. In addition, multiple RiView systems can be easily networked to meet large-scale review needs. All models feature zoom functionality and Super Slow Motion (SSM) camera support, making them a versatile choice for refereeing, training, and broadcast applications.
Riedel also enhances its award-winning SimplyLive RiMotion live replay solutions with the launch of the RiMotion R16 and R166. The RiMotion R16 package offers up to 16 HD channels, while the R166 offers up to 16 HD channels or 6 UHD channels. With advanced networking capabilities, expanded operator configurations, SSM support, and seamless integration of the touch UI and dedicated replay controllers, the RiMotion R16 and R166 continue to revolutionize the production of live sports and sports events.
The Venue Gateway Series, a reliable solution for smooth signal transmission and multi-channel contribution, receives a major upgrade with the introduction of Venue Gateway 8 Standard, 8 Advanced and 1612 Advanced. While the Standard model offers a compact, entry-level solution with eight bi-directional SDI channels, the Advanced versions introduce higher bit depth encoding, greater network flexibility, and support for HDR workflows.
To round out the announcements, the newly launched SimplyLive Connect REST API enables seamless integration with external broadcast control systems, allowing teams to monitor, manage and configure SimplyLive products as part of a unified production environment.
Designed for modern deployment on COTS hardware or public and private cloud infrastructure, the API improves interoperability, making production infrastructures smarter, more connected, and fully equipped to meet the demands of tomorrow's distributed workflows.
